Stephen is an internationally recognised authority and strategist in the creation of Lean Enterprises. He has over 20 years experience in operational transformation and has directed large-scale international service centres in a number of sectors, including manufacturing, IT services, retail, and direct marketing in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the USA.

Prior to founding Transform: a Lean strategy, structure, leadership and change consultancy providing services to several FTSE 100 companies, Stephen was Head of Strategy and Change at Fujitsu Services where he used 'Sense and Respond' Lean principles to transform Fujitsu's customer-focused service centre operations.

Stephen regularly lectures at leading Business Schools including Cambridge-MIT Institute, Aston Business School and Cranfield School of Management and is a visiting fellow at the Lean Enterprise Academy UK. In 2005, "Sense and Respond, The Journey to customer purpose", was published, which outlines a new operating model for organisations based on the principles of the Lean movement.
